Communicants Class

Our Communicant’s Class is a 6-8 week course taught by a pastor or an elder with the goal of leading our students to profess their faith in Jesus Christ. It’s called “Communicant’s Class” because professing faith in Jesus is necessary to receiving Communion. Not every student is ready for this class, but those who are capable of paying attention for the 30 minute lessons, reading the Scriptures, and working through the assigned homework are invited to study with us. If a student has already made a profession of faith before the church, but hasn’t yet taken a communicant’s class, we encourage them to study with us as well. This course will help students understand the essentials of the Christian Faith as well as the meaning of church membership. Our textbook is “Understanding the Faith” by Stephen Smallman. One will be provided for every student who attends.
