The Sermon on the Mount
Everybody wants to live a good life. But what would a good life be? In his “Sermon on the Mount” Jesus invites us into a way of living that confounds the age in which we live and points to the age to come. He confronts us with a kingdom and a culture much different from what we might have imagined.

The God You Can Know
Do you know your God? We do well to ask ourselves. A.W. Tozer famously noted, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us… Always the most revealing thing about the church is her idea of God.”
This summer we will see what Scripture says about the attributes of The God You Can Know.
It is good news that he is who he is.

Real Grace for Real Life
It has been noted that 2 Corinthians is the apostle Paul’s most personally revealing letter. He lets us know what is on his mind. He shows us his heart. He even lets us know what hurts. Reading the letter as we live our lives, we may learn to ask the right questions. Rather than our usual, “Why did this happen?” we may grow with Paul, asking rather, “How could this further God’s grace in my life and in the life of others?”

Advent Series 2020
Advent is a season of anticipation—the coming of God in Christ! God’s people longed for the Messiah to come as the prophets said he would. Even as we celebrate his lowly coming in the birth of Jesus, we anticipate his promised return in glory.

Proverbs
This summer we will dig into this book of wisdom; we are going to ask for the desire and the power to change, to “wise up”.

To Live Is Christ: Paul’s Letter to the Philippians
The Letter to the Philippians is a joyful letter. It’s a surprising word to a surprising church. Among the charter members, a well-to-do business-woman, a formerly demon-possessed slave girl, and a Rome-employed jailer. When they receive the letter they were a discouraged lot – plenty of adversity, tempted to give up. Paul calls that church and this church to join him – to look and live toward “the day of Jesus Christ.”

Revelation: Victory Living
This last book of the Bible is captivating. Because of its form and features, it can be confusing. We will see that is altogether God-centered, calling us to contemplate the Lord’s majesty and beauty as he unveils and realizes his glory in the victory of the slain, now living, conquering Lamb.

Words of Love
How great the Father’s love for us! He has spoken the Ten Commandments — Ten Words of love. When he says, “You shall” and “You shall not,” he is not only commanding, but also promising. Entwined in the command is a prophecy — a promise. In fact, through Christ God has made the Ten Commandments our friends.

Church Cherished & Nourished
If I have trusted Christ as my Savior, do I really need the church? Or to put it more practically and personally, do I really need a church? The Bible says that I do. In fact, most of the New Testament epistles are addressed to churches. O how Jesus loves the church! O how he loves a church!

Life Under the Sun
We may be shocked by the honesty of Ecclesiastes: It turns out somebody—even in the Bible—sees things the way they really are. Yes, and he sees well enough to take us where all is not vain.
